OUR TEAM
Bristol Urban Forum is run by an informal volunteer team. We first began meeting in May 2023, motivated by our experiences in community engagement, communications and tackling urban challenges. We aim to advocate for a diverse cross-section of society and become much more representative.

With every event, our team grows so get in touch today if you would like to support the project. You don't have to have worked on this kind of thing before and we welcome all walks of life.
We are very keen to grow, diversify and above all - listen.
LEAD VOLUNTEERS
Ben Stephenson (he/him)
🗣 Wants to talk about: City administration, public spaces and wellbeing
Ben sees new potential in physical spaces. He is a consultant with 25 years experience in rethinking city centres. Ben is positive about centres and sees the current climate as an opportunity to transform them for the benefit of local communities - not just for shopping, but as centres for learning, entertainment, housing and connection.
Malcom Hamilton (he/him)
🗣 Wants to talk about:
Connection, young voices and the circular economy
Malcolm loves good conversations. He has been involved in Bristol’s arts and theatre scene since moving to the city in his mid twenties. He has worked on a wide range of projects for young people and socially excluded adults over the years alongside interactive street theatre. Malcolm has shifted his focus from theatre practice to public engagement and now finds better ways to bring lived experience into decision making.
